Carnegie Medal Shortlist

The Carnegie Medal is awarded by children’s librarians for an outstanding book for children and young people. This year’s shortlist has just been announced:

• Gatty’s Tale by Kevin Crossley-Holland

• Ruby Red by Linzi Glass

• Crusade by Elizabeth Laird

• Apache by Tanya Landman

• Here Lies Arthur by Philip Reeve

• What I Was by Meg Rosoff

• Finding Violet Park by Jenny Valentine

The winner will be announced on 21st June 2008.
